Description of North Coast Day Tour
originating from San Pedro Sula, Honduras:
Take a tropical tour to Punta Sal... where the
jungle meets the Caribbean. Punta Sal is a stunning
protected biosphere on the north coast of Honduras.
Sparkling
white sandy beaches, lush tropical jungles and
its show of hundreds of bird and plant species
await you.
 Punta Sal, which lies only 60 miles outside of San Pedro Sula, is
a destination only accessible by boat. This one hour boat trip to
this pretty peninsula passes by hidden bays lined with huge coconut
trees and untouched shorelines. Have your cameras ready, you may be
able to spot a few howler monkeys and friendly dolphins on the way.
Snorkeling is a must for those interested in exploring the pristine
blue waters and coral reef filled with spectacular
brightly colored tropical fish.
Along with the natural splendor, you will have the opportunity to
learn about the Garifunal culture, Africa's rich
legacy, as you feast on typical Garifuna
fare (very tasty fish platters, coconut bread,
fruit) and visit a nearby Garifuna village before
returning on the pleasant one hour trip to San
Pedro Sula.
